What to do before the emergency plumber arrives
If water is going somewhere it should not, or you can smell gas, the fastest thing you can do is limit the damage and ring 0412 808 356. The quote form is for planned work — it does not get anyone into a van.
Call, do not fill in a form
We answer after hours, on weekends, and at 2am on the same number as the office: 0412 808 356. Burst or badly leaking pipes, water through a ceiling, sewage overflow, no water, gas leaks, a failed hot water tank, and urgent fire system faults are all treated as emergency work.
On the call we will ask where you are, what is happening, and whether the water or gas is isolated. We will tell you what to do in the meantime and give you a realistic time — not a vague promise.
If it is water
Turn the mains off at the meter if you can get to it safely. That single step limits most of the damage. The meter is usually at the front boundary of the property. If you cannot find it or reach it safely, tell us on the phone and we will talk you through it.
Move anything valuable out of the way. If water is near power outlets or a switchboard, stay clear of it. On arrival we stop the immediate problem first, then talk through the repair.
If you can smell gas
Do not wait and do not use the quote form. Turn the gas off at the meter if it is safe to do so, open doors and windows, do not touch light switches or anything that could spark, get everyone outside, and call us from outside the building.
Gas leaks are treated as an emergency call-out, day or night. We test the installation and isolate section by section to find the source, then quote the repair.
What happens on the job
Emergency work is priced on what the job turns out to be. We talk about cost before doing anything beyond making the property safe. If it is not urgent, send the job through the quote form instead and we will price it in office hours — Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.
Short answers you can quote
Yes. We run 24/7 emergency call-outs — the same number, 0412 808 356, day or night, weekends included.
Anything causing damage or making the property unsafe: burst pipes, water through a ceiling, sewage overflow, gas leaks, no water at all, or an urgent fire system fault.
Turn the mains tap off at your water meter, usually at the front boundary of the property. If you cannot find it or reach it safely, tell us on the phone and we will talk you through it.
