People ask what a quote from System Plumbing and Gas actually means. It is not a
number pulled off a van, and it is not a blank cheque. It depends on
whether we can see the work.
Straightforward jobs
Leaking taps, a cooktop connection, a hot water unit we can inspect, a
backflow test at a known address — those can be priced up front. You
tell us the suburb, what is happening, and when you need us. We talk
through the work and give you a price before we start wherever we
reasonably can.
The quote form is for that kind of planned work. Office hours are
Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm. Email
Admin@systemplumbingandgas.com.au
if you would rather write than use the form.
Hidden or larger work
Anything behind a wall, under a slab, or bigger than it first looks gets
assessed first. Rising bills, damp patches and dropping pressure usually
point to a concealed leak. We locate it, show you what we found, and
quote the repair — rather than committing to a price we cannot stand
behind.
Renovations, new pipe runs, fire system upgrades and commercial kitchens
sit in the same bucket. Scope and price before we start, once we can
see the job.
Emergency visits
If water is going somewhere it should not, or you can smell gas, do not
use the form. Call
0412 808 356.
That is the same number as the office, answered after hours and on
weekends.
On arrival we stop the immediate problem first, then talk through the
repair. Emergency work is priced on what the job turns out to be. We
talk about cost before doing anything beyond making the property safe.
That is not a blank cheque — it is the honest order of operations when
water is going through a ceiling.
What we will not do
We do not advertise a from-$X call-out we cannot honour, or extras
dressed up as a quote after the fact. If two quotes you already have
are far apart, check whether they describe the same work.
